MBC Kicked Up the DiRT with this High Octane Promotion!

MBC challenges you to jump into the driver’s seat of DiRT 2 and become part of the action sports gaming community. So put the pedal to the metal and capture the unique exhilaration of this rally driving promotion. 

DiRT 2 allows players to experience off road racing and its action sports attitude during full online multiplayer race events and community integration across the most diverse and challenging real world environments. The game returns with improved physics and visuals, head-to-head online play, and new social features to engage the racing community.

MBC developed a partnership between DiRT 2 and Journeys, which elevates into a promotion that includes well known top retailers DC Shoes and GameStop.

MBC created the concept for a gift-with-purchase that’s being offered at all Journeys stores to support the launch of DiRT 2. The GWP is also offered at GameStop as a purchase incentive to push pre-orders for DiRT 2.

Drivers that shop at Journeys and purchase any regular priced DC merchandise are receiving a DC DiRT 2 DVD with behind-the-scenes game footage and videos of progressive rally pro Ken Block performing now-classic stunts. Included with the DVD, gamers receive a coupon for $10.00 off their pre-order of DiRT 2 at GameStop.

In addition to the GWP at Journeys, GameStop is offering a purchase incentive for DiRT. The first 1,000 consumers that pre-order DiRT 2 online at GameStop.com will get a free limited edition DC DiRT 2 t-shirt. All other pre–orders at GameStop are receiving a DC DiRT 2 DVD and a coupon for $10.00 off a $50.00 DC product purchase Journeys.

The National TV Promotion, consists of 20 Markets, with top stations  such as KCAL/CBS (Los Angeles, Market #2) and KDAF/CW (Dallas, Market #5).  While the Radio Market has garnered 20 stations as well.  Impressively, over half of these radio stations are within the top 20 markets – participating stations include KIIS-FM (Los Angeles, Market #2) and WPWX-FM (Chicago, Market # 3).

MBC Compliments the DiRT 2 Promotion with National Exposure Through TV and Radio

TV & Radio stations are receiving prizing in exchange for on-air inventory, web promotions and street teams. This prizing includes Journeys gift cards, GPS systems, limited edition DC DiRT 2 t-shirts and copies of DiRT 2 on XBOX 360.

The lucky winners of the DiRT 2 promotion will interact virtually with extreme sports legends. As they hear the roar of the crowd and yelling fanatics in the audience, they will experience what it’s like to be right in the middle of a true professional off-road race. A few winners will even be given the chance to brush off the dirt from Dirt 2 and shop for new gear at Journeys.

Even though the promotion is still running, the numbers of TV/Radio spots have already reached 1,946 and the total value is at $307,690.
